This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures for the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Slides: AI Presentation Maker app — available on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). It tells you about your privacy rights and how applicable law protects you.

Slides is an AI-powered tool where you provide a text prompt or upload a file, and our AI instantly generates a polished PowerPoint (.pptx) presentation that you can download and share — without storing your presentation content on our servers beyond the generation process.

We use your personal data solely to provide and improve the Service. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate and improve the Service.

• Name and email address (when you create an account or contact us)
• Usage data — how you interact with the app (screens visited, features used, session duration)
• Device information — device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, crash reports
• Subscription and purchase data — managed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play; we do not receive your payment card details

With your explicit permission, we may collect:

• Approximate location — used only to comply with regional content regulations and to improve localization; we never collect precise GPS coordinates
• Files you upload (documents, images) — transmitted securely to our AI service solely to generate your presentation, then deleted immediately; we do not store or train on your uploaded files

You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device settings. Denying location permission will not affect core app functionality.

We use collected data strictly for the following purposes:

• Service delivery: To generate, deliver, and let you download and share AI-created presentations
• Account management: To create and manage your account and unlock features available to registered users
• App performance: To monitor usage, diagnose bugs, and improve stability and speed
• Communications: To send essential transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in consent
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable law (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, App Store / Play Store policies)
• Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized analytics to understand feature usage and prioritize improvements

To operate the Service we use trusted third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• AI / LLM providers — power presentation generation; your prompts and uploaded files are processed under strict data processing agreements and not used to train their public models
• Analytics (e.g., Firebase Analytics) — anonymized, aggregated app-usage data only
• Crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) — device info and stack traces for debugging
• In-app purchases — handled exclusively by Apple App Store and Google Play; we receive only transaction confirmation, not payment details

We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

• Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis
• Files you upload for AI generation are deleted from our processing servers immediately after your presentation is generated
• We conduct regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete that information.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
